Equipment International is a local family-owned industrial laundry equipment supplier based in Skokie, IL. The company sells, services and supplies parts for companies in Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana that have industrial washers, dryers and finishing equipment.
In this day and age of company mergers and multinational corporations, Equipment International’s 50th Anniversary is something for all small and family-owned businesses to celebrate. Not often does a family and a business survive the test of time as they have.
Initially founded by Harold and Shirley Rodin, in the basement of their home, the company has grown in its proud 50-year history. Four years after the start-up, the company expanded to a one-room office. After two more moves to larger offices, they are on the precipice of expansion yet again. Soon they will be moving for the fourth time to be able to offer even more services to their clients.
From Harold and Shirley, the company was passed down to daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Steve Zabrin who have been solely running Equipment International for the past 23 years. Nancy and Steve’s son, Kyle, joined the company in 2004. With more than 10 years experience learning the industry and trade, Kyle is preparing to take over the company.
At Equipment International, the values that started with Harold and Shirley continue to run deep through the generations. Working hard, always providing competitive value, carrying the best products, and most of all, putting the customer first will always be the Equipment International way.
